November 11, 1980 May 14, 1995. Tribute in Memorium to my Son. He loved to draw and was creative. He loved rap, baggy pants, backwards caps and T-shirts with cartoon characters. Because field trips were the best part of school. The land that would become Schafer State Park was donated by the Schafer Brothers Logging Company to the state of Washington in 1924. The park strings along the Satsop River and is a popular fishing site. It had previously been used for Schafer family picnics.
